VOLUNTEER & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
I have had the honor of representing the Croton-Harmon community on the Board of Education for nine years. During this time, I have served as Board President, from 2019-2024, and have been a participating member of four committees: Audit, Communications, Advocacy, and Board Development, often chairing those committees. I have also been the Board liaison to several district and village committees, including the Strategic Planning Committee, the Athletic Advisory Committee, the Health & Safety Committee, the Building Planning Councils for all three schools, the District Emergency Response Team, and the village IDEA Committee. I am also a member of the PTA and Booster Club.
DEDICATED TO STRONG PUBLIC SCHOOLS
In addition, I am incredibly proud to represent Croton-Harmon as a member of the Westchester Putnam School Boards Association (WPSBA) Board of Directors, where I am currently the Vice President and Chair of the Advocacy Committee. Through this regional work, I am also a member of the Lower Hudson Education Coalition (LHEC) Steering Committee and was the Area 10 delegate and Chair of the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) Resolutions Committee in 2025. I am thankful to work with school board and administrator colleagues throughout the region to advocate for and support the important work of public schools. We have thoughtful discussions with one another and with our state legislators about the most pressing needs facing our schools and work together to improve outcomes for all our students.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THAT MATTERS
During my nine years on the Board of Education, I have also made it a priority to engage in many professional development opportunities, learning from a broad array of educators, school business officials, education law experts, and public school advocates. I was honored to earn recognition for these efforts from NYSSBA in 2023.
